1. What "AI memory" means
1% Better is designed to provide continuity and personalised accountability over time. To do this, the AI stores and remembers information you choose to share with it. This may include:
- Goals, milestones and commitments
- Habits, streaks and check-in history
- Journal entries and reflections
- Preferences and stated context
- Wins, failures and behavioural patterns
- Conversations with the AI coach
This information is used to provide continuity between sessions, hold you accountable to commitments you have made to yourself, and deliver personalised coaching that improves over time.
2. Your explicit consent
By using the memory features of 1% Better you confirm:
"I understand that One Percent Edge AI stores information from my journals, goals, habits and conversations to provide long-term memory, continuity and personalised accountability."
You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting stored memory or your account (see section 5). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
3. What we do not do with your memory
- We do not sell your content.
- We do not use your content to train third-party AI / foundation models.
- You retain ownership of the content you create. See our User Content Policy.
4. Processors
AI responses are generated by third-party AI model providers acting as our processors under data-processing agreements. Inputs sent for generation are not used by those providers to train their models. For the wider list of processors see our Privacy Policy.
5. Your control over memory
At any time you can:
- Review the memory the AI holds about you, from inside the app.
- Edit individual memory items to correct or update them.
- Delete individual memory items, categories of memory, or all stored memory.
- Export a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Request full account deletion, which removes your memory along with the rest of your account (subject to short technical retention in encrypted backups described in our Data Retention Policy).

6. Sensitive information
Please avoid sharing special-category personal data (for example details about health, sexuality, religion or political views) unless you intentionally choose to. If you do, you give explicit consent for us to process that information for the purposes described above. You can delete it at any time.
7. Children
1% Better is not intended for users under 16 and we do not knowingly collect or store memory about children.
8. Changes to this policy
We will tell you about material changes by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
