2. What the AI is not
The AI is not and must not be treated as a:
- Therapist or counsellor
- Doctor or medical professional
- Psychologist or psychiatrist
- Crisis service or emergency responder
- Regulated mental-health professional of any kind
Using 1% Better does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client or any other professional relationship.
3. Limitations of AI
- AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or misleading.
- The AI should never be relied on for emergency decisions.
- You remain responsible for your decisions and actions.
- Always seek advice from a qualified professional for medical, mental-health or other regulated matters.
4. Crisis handling
If you indicate suicidal thoughts, self-harm, immediate danger to yourself or others, or severe mental distress, the AI will:
- Encourage you to seek help from a qualified professional.
- Provide emergency contact information and signpost crisis-support resources.
- Avoid acting as a substitute for professional intervention.
The AI is not monitored in real time by a human, and is not a substitute for emergency services.
